Dr. Lano started in veterinary medicine as an assistant and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2022. What she loves most about being a veterinarian is that it provides continuous opportunities to problem-solve, improve patient comfort, and connect with people in a constantly evolving field.
As a clinician, she believes in a science and research-based approach to healthcare that maintains an openness to alternative perspectives and new/novel treatment modalities. Her special interests include feline kidney and endocrine diseases, dentistry, dermatology, and oncology. Though she likes patients of all kinds, fearful (or “spicy”) cats tend to be favorites; she finds earning these patients’ trust to be one of the most rewarding experiences on the job.
In her free time she enjoys gardening, long days on the lake, thrifting for antiques, and pursuing various creative hobbies. She shares her home with two long-haired cats, Ole and Bunny, and a german shepherd mix named Rupert.
