Carmen

Carmen joined the Blaine Family crew in March of 2023 as a veterinary receptionist.  She attended the University of MN-Morris for Human Services & Child Development with a minor in psychology, but instead of completing her degree she decided to switch gears and pursue a career working with animals.  While she was in school, she worked at a small vet clinic as a receptionist while also learning more about the veterinary medicine field.  In 2021 she moved back to the cities and worked as a manager at a doggie daycare facility.  Carmen's favorite thing about veterinary medicine is learning more about different illnesses/conditions and treatments.  Since she didn't go to school for veterinary medicine, much of the information is still very new to her and she enjoys learning and growing in her knowledge.  Carmen recently bought a home with her boyfriend, and they share their home with their 2 cats, a 5-year old orange tabby named Michelangelo and a 4-year old black cat named Dracula.  Outside of work, Carmen loves reading & writing, and plays a lot of beach volleyball in the summer.
